{University Outreach Program}
Educate. Engage. Empower.
At the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults we want to bring the organization back to where it started. The roots of the grassroots—college campuses. The goal of The Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults' University Outreach Program is to create cancer awareness and organizational awareness as well as to educate college students on prevention and early detection practices.
Through UCF’s University Outreach Program we will create an on campus movement to increase awareness and give students the power to push their peers to take action in the FIGHT against cancer. We'll give these students the opportunity and platform to reach out to their friends and fellow students who have been affected by cancer to get them involved in the FIGHT, and alert them to ways they can FIGHT cancer in their own lives. At each university we work with we will be educating the students on young adult cancer issues as well as prevention and early detection tactics. We then work with the students to engage them in the young adult cancer fight and help them develop programs and initiatives to support their peers that are affected by cancer. Empowered by the knowledge and resources provided, these students will be making an impact and potential legacies on their respective campuses.
