what we do
Young adults exude boundless optimism, idealism, and a sense of indestructibility. Cancer, however, robs them of this perspective. They face the complex practical issues of independence, personal finance, and education or career interruption as well as taxing emotional concerns such as dating, fertility, and hopelessness. Our programs and services address areas of cancer support, health & wellness, advocacy and education specific to young adults dealing with cancer.
The first and only young adult cancer support organizations of its kind, the UCF offers a network of support services that addresses the unique needs of this population and empower people to be a voice for this underserved population. These services and opportunities to get involved include:

- Clinical Trial Matching Service powered by EmergingMed: In partnership with EmergingMed our goal is to leverage the power of the Internet to increase treatment options for people with serious illnesses and to speed up drug development through increased enrollment in clinical trials.
- Treatment Decision Tool powered by Nexcura: Interactive tools designed to help patients make informed treatment decisions, full disclosure of treatment options and side effects, personalized reports with pros and cons of treatment and questions to ask your physician.
