Aaron Auiler, 21, of Tennessee, was diagnosed with a sarcoma in his thigh when he was 18. A doctor of Aaron’s has said that, “he is quite an admirable person as he has approached this diagnosis and subsequent treatment with a great amount of courage and maturity...this young man is an outstanding person.” Read Aaron's story

Alicia Halley, 20, of Gallipolis, Ohio, was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma bone cancer at the age of 16. Her doctor has written of Alicia that she “is a lovely girl who I believe has matured greatly and would be a good role model for many different students.” Read Alicia's story

Roxanne Cowan is 18 from Las Vegas, Nevada. She was diagnosed with osteogenic sarcoma of the left femur and has underson an extensive limb salvage procedure to save her leg. During Roxanne’s treatment her mother passed away from breast cancer. Roxanne works at a camp for children with cancer and their siblings. She plans to attend Xavier University. Ryan Shupe, 17, was diagnosed with cancer at 10 and underwent treatment that culminated in the amputation of his right foot. After a grueling nine month hospital stay, Ryan emerged facing an ending and new beginning at the same time. He spent the next five years embracing every experience with genuine enthusiasm, while continuing his reflections on his battle with cancer. Now preparing for college and a further chapter in his life, Ryan hopes to develop more advanced prosthetics than those used now while quenching his thirst for new experiences.
