Last year we asked you to celebrate our 10th anniversary with Lance Armstrong. This year we invite you to join the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults as we celebrate our 11th anniversary with this very special event hosted by design impresario and host of HGTV’s Deserving Design, Vern Yip. On Monday, March 9th, the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults will host Eleven – THE EVENT at the Peter and Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center at Howard Community College. Celebrating our 11th Year of service of helping young adults fight cancer, Eleven will honor survivors we’ve supported and those who’ve helped in the fight against cancer. We’ll recognize cancer survivors, medical professionals, volunteers and community partners who are working together to create a world where all young adults affected by cancer will have the support and resources they need in order to thrive. Plus, Vern will present a very special episode of his newest show, HGTV’s Deserving Design, featuring a UCF scholarship applicant.
Eleven will feature a cocktail reception (with a private VIP area with Vern Yip for top sponsors), complimentary beer and wine bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, live and silent auctions and a theatre style seated program for the premier of a special Deserving Design episode highlighting a UCF scholarship recipient. Also during the program, UCF will present its Founders Award, Hope Award, Young Adult Fight Award, Volunteer Award and Partner Award. Our honorary guest and recipient of the 2009 Founders Award, Vern Yip, will address the audience, answer questions and introduce the Deserving Design episode premier.
Eleven will also be one of the first at Peter and Elizabeth Horowitz Visual and Performing Arts Center at Howard Community College.
